Garrett Hedlund not engaged to Kirsten Dunst

Garrett Hedlund has denied that he is engaged to girlfriend Kirsten Dunst.

Tabloid reports claimed earlier this month that Hedlund proposed marriage to his On the Road co-star Dunst at her 30th birthday party on April 30.

Hedlund's official spokesperson has now dismissed those rumours as totally inaccurate in a statement to WENN.

"[The engagement claim is] so not true," the actor's rep insisted.

Hedlund and Dunst have been spotted on a series of public dates in the last several months, but neither has commented on their apparent romance.

On the Road, which also stars Kristen Stewart and Amy Adams, opens later this year in US and UK cinemas.
