Kirsten goes from Spider-Man to Catwoman

The Spider-Man star spent the day cycling round her neighbourhood of Toluca Lake, California, putting up posters of lost pet Tazzy.

And she was joined in her heart-wrenching quest by new boyfriend Garrett Hedlund.

Kirsten's poster offered a reward for help in finding her long-haired, grey and white cat.

And the 27-year-old Tron actor was happy to lend his new love some moral support.

The couple have been dating for several months but kept their relationship under wraps until a week ago when they went public at the Sundance Festival in Utah.

The loved-up pair attended a post-premiere meal for Kirsten's movie Bachelorette.

And sources have revealed the 29-year-old is ready to settle down.

A US website quoted a source close to the couple, who said: "Kirsten and Garrett have only been together for a few months but they are crazy about each other.

"Kirsten wasn't looking to settle down but in Garrett she's found a guy she's really comfortable with. They've become inseparable to the point where the subject of marriage has come up."

The American actress recently revealed she loves being surprised in her relationships.

She said. "When it comes to dating someone, I don't care what you do. Just as long as you make me laugh, you're a good person, you surprise me and we're honest with each other."

But once he gets his feet under the table, Garrett had better not get too attached to the pets, or fur may fly.

In 2008, Kirsten fought a custody battle with ex Jake Gyll! enhaal o ver their German Shepherd dog, Lovey.

But the dog fight ended amicably, with a shared custody agreement.

America beauty Kirsten starred in the movie The Cat's Meow in 2001.

No doubt that's a sound she's desperate to hear now.
